Assistant Project Manager
- Construction, Landscape Hardscape Irrigation Arazoza Brothers, Corp. 7027 SW 87th Court, Miami, FL 33173 Job Description Arazoza Brothers is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team in South Florida and assist in the construction of projects consisting of landscape, irrigation, and hardscape scope packages. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of all phases of construction projects, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout.
- Coordinate and manage construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
- Organize and distribute construction project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, submittals, change orders, and RFIs.
- Review Contract documents and contract plans to verify scope and quantities for any discrepancies or unforeseen conditions.
- Download and distribute project files to all relevant parties involved in each project and ensure that all parties are working with the most up to date and relevant plans.
- Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to monitor construction progress, resolve issues and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Assist with procurement processes and budgets for all project materials, subcontractors, vendor selection and other budgeted costs throughout the project.
- Conducting regular site inspections to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular meetings to facilitate communication, address challenges and to meet project objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project status, including as-built plans, milestones, budget updates, and any significant developments or risks.
- Assist with project billing for work completed, provide monthly asbuilts for work completed, material tracking, and assist with creating pay applications on a monthly basis on time prior to billing cutoff periods.
- Maintain effective communication with project team members to provide project updates, address concerns and foster strong working relationships.
Requirements and qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field, preferred. 1-3 years of relevant experience in construction project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. Experience in Landscape, Hardscape or Irrigation trades is a plus. Excellent project management skills, including effective planning, organizing and prioritizing tasks. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, including project blueprints and construction drawings. Proficiency in construction management software, project scheduling tools and cost estimating software. As well as the following programs: Microsoft Office, Excel, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Procore, and Textura. Strong financial understanding and experience in project budgeting and cost control.
