We are recruiting for an Associate Construction Manager in Miami. The ideal candidate has a strong entrepreneurial mindset and appetite to develop a career in the commercial asset management space, focusing on construction of capital improvement projects. You will be part of a dynamic, fast-moving team executing a variety of project types and sizes. Projects include commercial office tenant improvements, building repositioning, conversion or adaptive reuse, and development of land. The capital improvement projects are critical to building value in each asset. This is a unique opportunity with exposure to a broad range of personal and professional development opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the development and management of project budgets, including the review of payment applications and invoices. Support the development of project cashflow reports for use by internal accounting and external capital partners. Support the development and management of project schedules. Support the selection of project teams, including architects and contractors. Support and manage contract administration between ownership and third-party partners. Participate in creating and disseminating project updates to capital partners and lenders. Participate in weekly project OAC meetings. Collaborate with asset and property management teams on project delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Must be energetic and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Must have a strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and the ability to comfortably interact with internal and external clients. Bachelor’s degree in Building Sciences, Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or similar degree tracks. 2-5 years of experience working on commercial construction projects is preferred. This role requires technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
