We are seeking a highly motivated, deadline-driven construction manager to oversee our projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and serve as the primary link between all project stakeholders. The Construction Manager must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Additionally, this individual should consistently exhibit exceptional organizational and supervisory skills to ensure resources are allocated effectively and project goals are achieved. Responsible for leading and managing the construction team, overseeing all on-site work, and ensuring projects are completed in compliance with scope, timeline, quality, and budget requirements. Duties include project planning, preparing budgets, procuring materials and equipment, supervising personnel and subcontractors, maintaining order and safety on-site, coordinating and attending inspections, ensuring all documentation is properly handled, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders. The Construction Manager demonstrates a commitment to learning and strives for growth. He/she will be a strong leader, proactive, and perform well under pressure. Requirements, Knowledge, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related fields
- General Contractor License preferable
- 2 years’ experience as a Construction Project Manager
- Able to successfully lead a team to meet datelines and requirements of projects
- Strong time management and logistical coordination skills
- Financial analysis and budgeting
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle a broad range of tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Deep knowledge of the building process
- Problem solving ability
- Proficient with scheduling software, and CAE and CAD applications.
- Fluent in English
- Having a good knowledge and understanding of modern technology. Standards & Responsibilities
- Coordinating and overseeing all work on site.
- Leading and managing the on-site construction team.
- Preparing and managing project scopes, timelines, estimates and budgets
- Planning construction processes
- Ensuring all necessary permits from local authorities are obtained
- Ensuring compliance with quality, schedule, budget and scope of work
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress
- Placing orders and being responsible for equipment and materials on site
- Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness
- Resolving on-site issues and emergencies
- Coordinating with Director of Construction on any changes required for plans, permits & scope of work
- Assisting Permitting dept. with document submission and in-person meetings
- Requesting, follow-up and filing subcontractor estimates for all projects
- Coordinating, attending, and monitoring all inspections Schedule
- 8 AM to 5 PM with one hour lunch
- Availability on weekend as needed
- Flexibility required if necessary
Compensation:
Total annual compensation up to $75,000, which includes a base salary and a performance-based bonus.
