Responsibilities:
Review plans and specifications for coordination and value engineering. Review, process and track all RFI’s, Submittals, Shop Drawings and any other project specific documents. Obtain and track all permits required by governing jurisdiction. Determine and buy-out needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations. Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure compliance to and enforcement of the terms and conditions of the prime contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders. Manage costs in order to meet budget. Manage construction schedule and activities to complete project on time. Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines. Identify and mitigate risks to project, proactively manage and escalate as required. Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes. Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness. Liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals. Coordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors. Oversee punch-list and project close-out activities. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or related field required. Minimum of 5 years related experience including knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, estimating, scheduling and safety procedures. Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings. Strong organization, time-management, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to negotiate contracts, manage personnel, meet deadlines and goals, control costs, and maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Project and Procore Construction Management software. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
