Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Development Manager to oversee real estate development projects from conception to groundbreaking. This role requires a blend of project management expertise and financial acumen to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with financial goals in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full development lifecycle, including navigating entitlements, guiding concept and schematic design phases, overseeing design development, and managing construction documentation to ensure seamless progression to groundbreaking. Supervise and coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors, ensuring alignment on project goals, timelines, and quality standards throughout all development stages. Develop and oversee project budgets, prepare capital call forecasts, and conduct financial analyses, such as proformas, to monitor costs and ensure projects meet financial performance targets. Secure all required entitlements, permits, and governmental approvals, while conducting due diligence for new project acquisitions and providing regular status updates on project progress, risks, and milestones.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field. 5-7 years of experience in real estate development, with a proven track record of managing projects from concept through construction. Strong skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and scheduling, with prior experience working for a real estate developer preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
