The firm was founded in 2002 and is a market leader in delivery of commercial and industrial projects in Florida. Our platform operates as a fully integrated industrial development firm, bringing together teams of dedicated in-house divisions across every stage of the development lifecycle. HDC aims to maximize client/investor returns by leading in delivering Class A industrial, commercial, and retail properties.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a capable and driven Development Manager to lead the execution of industrial and commercial real estate projects. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and hands-on experience in design coordination, permitting, and construction support. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to move projects from predevelopment through delivery.

Responsibilities:

Conduct due diligence and feasibility studies for potential development sites. Manage conveyance tasks, including coordinating surveys, title work, and property closings. Liaise with municipalities to obtain permits, zoning variances, and regulatory approvals. Oversee utility coordination, ensuring timely installation of electrical, water, sewer, and communication systems. Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources. Collaborate with design and construction teams to align site development with project goals. Perform market research to support project positioning. Identify and mitigate risks related to site development and utilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, or related field. 5+ years of experience in real estate development, preferably in industrial projects. Strong knowledge of conveyance, utility planning, and municipal permitting. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Proficiency in project management software and financial modeling tools. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
