Our client is currently seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager. About the
Role:
This role is allowing of remote structure but requiring of travel (25-50%) As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving our strategic growth by managing existing projects and cultivating new business relationships. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines. Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, and developers; negotiate and secure new business opportunities. Oversee construction activities through the on-site Superintendent to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion; address and resolve critical issues. Represent the company in project meetings and labor negotiations; participate in strategy sessions. Lead client presentations and project interviews. Manage financial aspects of contracts, including fee payments, rental equipment, and income/expenses, ensuring the company’s interests are protected while maintaining strong client relationships. Supervise and mentor Project Managers and Project Engineers; provide development support as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction, design, finance, and management. Proven ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to enhance team performance. In-depth understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and influence. Strong persuasive speaking abilities and professional representation of the company. Advanced problem-solving and negotiation skills. Knowledge of financial practices within the construction industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and industry-specific software.
