United States Job Summary:

A Construction Superintendent, or Construction Supervisor, is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all the activities of a construction site according to project blueprints and schedule plans. Their duties include coordinating subcontractors, performing quality control and safety checks and providing on-site direction when preparing construction sites. Monitor and measure all projects in a manner that assures profitability, quality control, safety, and timely completion while building and sustaining an environment that provides the highest level of integrity & customer service.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff. Oversees the daily workflow of the department. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Profit/Quality Control Review project information prior to mobilization to ensure complete understanding of the scope of work, material specifications, safety plans, precautions, and contact time constraints Develop production plan Organize foreman will activities and ensure proper staffing for all necessary positions Monitor quality control as well as weekly planned and completed production Customer Service Work closely with the scheduling department to assure a gap free environment with pre-start notifications Monitor and bring to conclusion all warranty work and client issues Policy and Safety Management Assure all company policies on safety, equipment management and vehicle management are being adhered to. Manage the company jobsite safety programs to assure foreman are adhering to the company’s safety requirements and procedures. Analyze the safety plan for all aspects of the job Assure the required safety toolbox talks are being completed and signed off by every employee Assure follow through with foreman on compliance with Safety Inspection Reports and Corrective Actions Assure vehicles and equipment are cleaned, organized and in good working order, and all regular inspections and maintenance is performed

Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials and other project costs Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers Create schedules for workers and subcontractors Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient

Qualifications:
