The Production Manager is vital in ensuring streamlined operations across our projects. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong leadership capabilities, and a focus on optimizing productivity without compromising quality.

Responsibilities:
Project Planning:

Collaborate with general/project superintendents and foremen to develop detailed project plans, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.

Schedule Management:

Oversee project timelines, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes.

Resource Coordination:

Ensure that manpower, materials, and equipment are available and efficiently utilized across projects.

Quality Assurance:

Implement and oversee quality control processes, ensuring all work meets or exceeds company and client standards.

Team Management:

Supervise and guide foremen and their crews, promoting a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous learning.

Cost Control:

Monitor project expenditures, ensuring that work remains within budget constraints and optimizing cost-efficiency.

Safety Oversight:

Ensure all projects adhere to OSHA and Florida-specific safety standards. Promote a culture of safety-first.

Stakeholder Communication:

Act as a primary liaison between the company and clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and coordination.

Performance Metrics:

Develop and track performance metrics to assess productivity, quality, and efficiency across projects.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements, training, and technological upgrades to enhance production capabilities.

Vendor Relations:

Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.

Staff Development:

Identify training needs within the team and facilitate ongoing training and professional development.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks related to project timelines, budgets, and resources. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.

Technology Integration:

Keep abreast of the latest technological advancements in the construction industry and integrate them to optimize production.

Contract Review:

Oversee the review and finalization of contracts with clients, ensuring clarity, fairness, and adherence to company standards.

Documentation:

Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation for all projects, including plans, contracts, and performance reports.

Environmental Compliance:

Ensure that all projects are executed in compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.

Client Feedback:

Establish processes to gather client feedback post-project completion, using insights to drive improvements.

Collaboration:

Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring open communication across various departments, such as design, finance, and logistics.

Crisis Management:

Be prepared to step in and resolve any emergent issues or disputes on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is considered. 7+ years’ experience in a production or operation management role within commercial construction.
  • Proven experience as a Project Superintendent or similar role in commercial construction, with expertise in metal framing, drywall installation, and related trades.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and practices, specifically metal framing, drywall, FRP, acoustical ceilings, stucco, and EIFS.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate construction crews and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project assignments.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed to meet project requirements.
