Construction Assistant Project Manager 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars Boca Raton, FL 33432 Overview The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from inception through completion. This role ensures project milestones are met, communication flows smoothly among stakeholders, and all documentation and logistics are managed efficiently. The APM serves as a key liaison between the office and field teams, helping manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, procurement, and documentation. This role is designed for someone with a foundational understanding of construction processes who is ready to take on increased responsibility and grow into a future Project Manager. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets Coordinate tasks, resources and materials to ensure project is substantially completed on time and on budget. Track progress and prepare regular project status reports Manage subcontractor and vendor scopes and contracts per project goals Communicate with team members, clients, and vendors to ensure alignment Track and manage delivery timelines for long-lead items Collaborate with accounting to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting Maintain project documentation, contracts, plans, submittals, change orders and RFI’S Assist with bidding and procurement during preconstruction phase Help analyze subcontractor proposals for completeness and accuracy Participate in constructability reviews and value engineering exercises Help manage risk assessments and quality assurance processes Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering (preferred but not required) 3-5 years of project coordination or assistant project management experience Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello, Fieldwire, CompanyCam, ProCore) Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities PMP or CAPM certification (preferred but not required)
