Sullivan Corp. is a general contractor specializing in the construction of Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities. We are seeking a Construction Superintendent with experience in the industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience in the supervision of projects that include the installation of process equipment, above and below ground piping, concrete structures, and other facilities associated with the treatment process.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Review and comprehension of construction drawings, bid documents, and project specifications to fully understand a project’s scope of work. Review project plans to ensure that estimated materials are sufficient; analyze material usage during initial job setup to adjust material purchases as needed. Management of construction crews by identifying and assigning tasks, hiring, and eliminating personnel as required to maintain construction progress. Source and assist with workforce planning of subcontracted labor. Coordination with Project Manager to develop and implement construction schedules, change orders, RFIs, and other essential project information. Ensure all personnel including Subcontractors adhere to company policies & procedures, including but not limited to scheduling, safety, and job scope definitions. Prepare for and attend all construction-related meetings. Serve as main contact for job site issue resolutions between owner, other trades, inspectors, sub-contractors, and employees. Work closely and be in regular communication with the Project Manager to ensure that project requirements are achieved (schedules, workmanship, employee safety, etc.). Maintenance of record documents including detailed daily reports, delivery logs, and as-built drawings. Knowledge of and adherence to a strict safety policy to maintain a safe and secure work environment. Maintain an inventory of all materials to be incorporated into the project and update the inventory on a regular basis, adding items as deliveries are received and removing items as materials are installed. Provide a record of all deliveries by including copies of packing lists, delivery tickets, trucking tickets, etc. in the daily field report. Lead and manage all field operations of assigned projects including, but not limited to, supervising foremen, managing subcontractors and vendors, quality control, safety management, equipment utilization, and coordinating with other superintendents for the best utilization of resources. Keep a clean and organized worksite. Hold crews and subs to strict standards. Provide leadership, motivation, and mentoring to your subordinates. Be a team leader. Ability to delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and subcontractors. Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen on site quickly and amicably. Maintain daily field reports of all activities and site conditions with complete and accurate documentation of work orders, tickets, etc.
