Quality Control Superintendent Dominion Builders, LLC Delray Beach, FL 33483 Job Description Job Summary Commercial Construction firm Dominion Builders headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida is searching for a personable, highly motivated, organized and detailed individual to serve as a the Quality Control Superintendent on Multi-Family Interior Renovation. Coordinate and assure quality execution of all construction details to achieve fast, clean, professional results. Essential Job Functions The individual will act as the Dominion Builders, LLC representative in the management and coordination of the construction activities to result in a timely and economical process. The number one priority of the Quality Control Superintendent is to ensure the quality of work performed by our subcontractors and achieve perfect scores in client satisfaction following the close- out of each project, relating to quality, cleanliness, timeliness, and communication. Examples of Duties (Duties listed are not intended to be all inclusive nor to limit duties that might reasonably be assigned) Represent Dominion Builders, LLC in the management of construction activities to result in a timely and economical process. Represent Dominion Builders, LLC via communications with owner’s staff relating to all ongoing construction activities. Ensure Contractor implementation of quality control programs. Oversee construction Process ensuring critical review at all steps of the process in order to achieve first class quality and timely results. Self perform various architectural tasks including but not limited to demolition, cutting and patching, installation of in-wall blocking, installation of toilet accessories, floor-covering, millwork, and equipment, miscellaneous carpentry work, gypsum and acoustic work, installation of doors and hardware. Monitor daily activity schedule against construction schedule. Coordinate with Federal, State, and local agencies during project implementation to ensure compliance with guidelines and to obtain timely approvals. Prepare and deliver project photographs and project reports to management as required. Assist in the preparation of project close-out documentation. Effectively communicate and manage project expectations in a timely and clear fashion. Responsible for maintaining a general awareness of Dominion Builders, LLC construction safety program. Responsible for handling all related job responsibilities in accordance with Dominion Builders, LLC Environmental Policy, relevant Operating Procedures, and Emergency Management Plan. Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills essential to Job Functions Must have Strong Technical and Organizational skills. Has general Knowledge of architectural design, engineering design and construction principles for building construction. Must have hands-on carpentry and related skills with extensive experience performing typical commercial construction tasks. Should be able to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities. Can react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently. Have the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks. Must have strong interpersonal skills, be a Team player, and proponent of collaborative management. Have the Ability to plan, organize and execute work utilizing contractor resources. Be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Able to interact effectively with employees, managers, officials, and the public, and to resolve problems. Must demonstrate understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings. Work involves meeting multiple demands, in a fast-paced environment, on a timely basis. This is combined with special requirements to analyze and resolve specific problems while performing several major activities at once. Education:
Completion of a Bachelors degree in areas of construction science, construction management, project management, civil engineering, building science/construction, or related field is preferred, but not required.
Required Experience:
Minimum 5-10 years’ of practical, hands-on, commercial construction experience is required. Progressively more responsible experience in field construction, construction engineering, or project management is expected.
Special Requirements:
Essential software applications include Microsoft (Outlook, word, Excel); and must demonstrate ability to use computers and software programs for communication, online collaboration, and scheduling. Working knowledge of Procore a plus.
