Ground-Up Construction | Urban Mixed-Use Development A high-profile urban mixed-use project in Delray Beach is entering Phase 2 of its $400M+ development, and we are seeking a seasoned Superintendent to join the in-house general contracting team. This role will be instrumental in driving field execution, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery on a highly visible, career-defining build.

Role Overview:

As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for daily on-site operations for the assigned scopes of Phase 2. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, field teams, and trade partners to supervise subcontractors, enforce quality and safety standards, and ensure the schedule stays on track. This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role requiring technical knowledge, people skills, and an uncompromising commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day field activities for assigned scopes of work within Phase 2 of a large-scale urban mixed-use development Supervise subcontractors and laborers, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and to spec Manage site logistics, safety protocols, material deliveries, and inspections with city officials and consultants Conduct daily site walkthroughs, document project conditions, and prepare detailed daily reports with supporting photos Collaborate with the Project Manager on scheduling, issue resolution, and coordination of long-lead items Lead weekly subcontractor meetings, reinforce schedule milestones, and proactively address delays or conflicts Ensure compliance with all OSHA and local safety requirements; lead jobsite safety meetings and inspections Support project closeout activities, including punch list coordination, testing, commissioning, and final inspections

Qualifications:

10+ years of field leadership experience in ground-up commercial or mixed-use construction (or 7+ years of multi-family superintendent experience) Proven track record delivering complex jobs on active urban sites, ideally with multi-trade coordination Strong working knowledge of construction scheduling, quality control, and Florida building codes Demonstrated ability to lead teams and resolve field-level challenges in real time OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain within 30 days) Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to lead meetings and maintain site documentation Familiarity with construction management tools (Procore, Microsoft Office, etc.) Why Join This Project?
