Highway Construction Project Manager Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill the position of Highway Construction Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of highway construction projects in Dade City, FL. Your main objective will be to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of projects while maintaining compliance with specifications, regulations, and contracts. You will also be responsible for overseeing subcontractors, managing resources, and fostering collaboration among project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Develop efficient project plans and schedules, optimizing the allocation of resources. Select and oversee subcontractors throughout various phases of the project. Monitor the performance of trade contractors and ensure their adherence to architectural/engineering drawings, specifications, and regulations. Manage and administer construction contracts, securing all required permits and licenses. Supervise assistant managers, review their reports, address any challenges that arise, and enforce safety compliance. Track and manage project schedules and budgets to meet deadlines and financial targets. Provide regular updates to owners and architects, making recommendations for plan modifications when necessary. Qualifications Hold a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, or architecture. Additional training in business administration or accounting is a plus for engineers/architects. Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience assisting or managing increasingly complex construction projects.
