This Project Coordinator Technical (Construction & Trades Coordinator) position is located at: Extension Services, 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo, FL 33774.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. What Will You Do? Coordinate and monitor construction and maintenance projects from initiation through completion, ensuring targets and requirements are met. Provide technical expertise in areas such as engineering, environmental compliance, and construction methods. Work closely with officials, subject matter experts, and contractors to ensure successful integration and completion of projects. Develop program guidelines and technical procedures to implement and maintain projects with minimal supervision. Supervise three crew leaders of skilled trades workers at various work locations. What Do You Need?
Experience:
Extensive experience in technical and professional roles related to construction, engineering, or a related field, including supervisory experience that includes one year of lead worker or supervisory training.
Degree:
Project management, construction management, engineering, or a related field, combined with relevant experience. 8 years’ experience as described above; or Associate’s degree and 6 years’ experience as described above; or Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ experience as described above; or Master’ degree and 2 years’ of experience as described above; or Doctoral degree as described above. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations. Possession and maintenance of a valid Florida Driver’s License upon hire with eligibility based upon evaluation of a Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) driving report. Highly Desirable Knowledge of building design and construction procedures. Ability to coordinate, lead, and supervise work completed by others. Skill in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems. Proficiency in applying computer applications and software related to project management and work management.
