Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Electrical Superintendent to oversee electrical operations on construction projects from inception to completion. This role combines hands-on field supervision with high-level project management responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all on-site electrical activities and personnel. Manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to electrical schedules and budgets. Ensure all electrical installations comply with project specifications, codes, and safety standards. Conduct regular site inspections and enforce quality control measures. Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other trades to facilitate smooth project execution. Manage materials, tools, logistics, and scheduling for electrical crews. Utilize construction management software such as SimPro for project planning, estimating, and tracking. Prepare and review schematics, blueprints, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance. Implement and uphold safety protocols, leading daily safety meetings and walkthroughs. Maintain thorough documentation of progress, inspections, and field reports. Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues efficiently to minimize delays. Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Experience & Qualifications:
Proven experience in electrical management, with a solid grasp of budgeting, scheduling, and quality control. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and installation techniques. Proficiency in construction estimating techniques; experience with systems (for scheduling) is highly desirable. Skilled in reading and interpreting complex schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
