We are currently seeking a Superintendent to lead the field operations on a new garden-style apartment development in Sarasota, FL .
Project Overview:
This upcoming project is a garden-style multi-family community featuring multiple low-rise apartment buildings spread across a landscaped site. Amenities include outdoor recreation areas, clubhouse, and a resident-friendly design focused on comfort and accessibility.
Position Summary:
As the Superintendent , you will be the on-site leader responsible for all phases of construction, managing subcontractors, enforcing safety, and ensuring the project progresses on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all on-site construction activities from start to finish Manage daily coordination of subcontractors and suppliers Ensure compliance with building plans, codes, and safety standards Maintain and track project schedules and milestones Conduct inspections and quality control measures throughout the build Communicate regularly with the Project Manager and stakeholders Monitor site cleanliness, security, and logistics Resolve issues in real-time to avoid delays or cost overruns
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on garden-style or similar multi-family projects Strong background in wood-frame construction and site development Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and team management skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs Familiarity with project management and scheduling software OSHA certification preferred
