Field-based / Travel Required Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Superintendent to manage day-to-day on-site operations for heavy civil construction projects from initiation through close-out. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in site grading, utility construction, and project scheduling, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and performance standards. Responsibilities Oversee all field operations on assigned construction projects Review and interpret project proposals, estimates, drawings, and specifications Direct and manage work crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material procurement Ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, engineers, and project stakeholders Conduct quality control inspections and ensure compliance with engineering plans and permits Monitor progress and adjust schedules or resources as needed Enforce safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance on job sites Support the Project Manager in overall project delivery and closeout Manage documentation and reporting using Microsoft Office and construction software Required Qualifications 5-7 years of construction leadership experience Proficient in reading engineered drawings, blueprints, and grade stakes Skilled in the operation of heavy construction equipment Strong communication and organizational skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work extended hours including weekends OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain) Additional certifications preferred: MOT/TTC, Asphalt 101, SWPPP CDL license is a plus Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to sit, walk, and/or stand for 8+ hours per day Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance occasionally Field-based role requiring outdoor work in varying environmental conditions Use of computers, mobile devices, and other communication tools required Benefits 401(k) & 3% Matching Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Company Car or Auto Allowance + Fuel Card Flexible Spending Account Paid Time Off Short- and Long-Term Disability AFLAC Supplemental Insurance Professional Development Support Equal Opportunity Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
