Telamon-TRC has taken steps to shift our organization into a Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) model. This changes our perceptions about the individuals that we work with, employees and customers, including families and children. POSITION SUMMARY
Serves as the leader of facility and transportation services within a program, guiding the curriculum and program planning, policy development and training. Contributes to program improvement through evaluation, self-assessment, and other program development efforts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop, implement, and evaluate systems for the delivery of transportation and facility services. Includes center and, where applicable, home base services and services for children with disabilities. 2. Monitor transportation and facility services throughout program to ensure compliance with regulations. Recommends and implements program improvements and monitors the carrying out of these recommendations. Utilize existing software and hardware systems to manage and analyze transportation. 3. Ensures facilities and grounds are a clean, safe, and healthy environment that inspire learning for children and staff. Coordinate building inspections with Center Directors. Takes immediate action to address safety and compliance concerns. 4. Solicits and reviews bids related to facility projects and transportation system. Ensures that bids are solicited in accordance with state and federal regulations. 5. Supervises and coordinates construction, renovation, and maintenance projects to ensure quality work and compliance with state, federal and corporate regulations. 6. Seeks out the best facilities and negotiates leases. 7. Creates training materials and provides training for transportation and maintenance staff. 8. Ensures the maintenance of assigned fleet of vehicles. Maintains vehicle records including but not limited to vehicle maintenance, inspections, and licensing. Attends all annual inspections. 9. Reviews and analyzes monthly financial and statistical reports to assess the budget status of Centers and programs. Develops, allocates and manages resources to maximize program effectiveness. 10. When in centers, protects the safety of children by implementing active supervision techniques to ensure no child is left alone or unsupervised at any time. 11. The person in this position must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. 12. Maintains inventory records, uploads maintenance records and updated driver documents, and updates fleet data. 13. Ensures the documentation and implementation of safety policy and procedures throughout the program in accordance with program and corporate policies/procedures. Proactively addresses safety hazards and concerns. 14. Develop and document progress on professional development plan for self and assigned staff. Facilitates and engages in professional development activities to increase qualifications in accordance with Corporation’s Core Values. 15. Ensures the mobilization and documentation of matching/in-kind funds. 16. Coordinates the moving of office and classroom furniture. 17. Participates in staff meetings, committees and training sessions. 18. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position directly supervises others. This may include participation in the recruitment/selection process for new hires, employee training, onboarding, conducting performance coaching/evaluation, compensation administration, delegation of duties and conflict resolution. Promotes an environment of teamwork and cooperation and is accessible to employees.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience Requirements:
An Associate’s or two years of relevant coursework is required. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Must be able to get certification for CPR and First Aid after hire and recertify as required. Must have a willingness to work towards any additional credentials needed to move to the next level in the position, this may include continued education. Must have own transportation, a valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance. Minimum of three years of management experience. Must complete School Bus Driver’s Safety Education Course and maintain current continuing education requirements every 24 months. Facilities, construction, or fleet management experience is preferred. Experience with procurement and contract negotiation preferred. Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Microsoft Office products and on-line client management systems. Knowledge of state and federal transportation regulations and must have excellent driving record. Knowledge of childcare licensing regulations and building maintenance/ construction codes.

Require Driving:
Telamon Corporation / TRC employees that are required to drive a personal vehicle for work-related duties are to meet the auto insurance liability requirement. The minimum limits required are $100,000 each person bodily injury, $300,000 each accident bodily injury and $50,000 property damage. The insurance liability requirement covers use of an employee’s personal vehicle. Telamon Corporation/TRC employees that drive a company-owned/rental vehicle must maintain a satisfactory annual motor vehicle record check. Must have own transportation, a valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance.
