Position Overview:

Delta Metals brings quality products and services to the South Georgia area and beyond. We are looking for experienced project managers who can lead a team of skilled laborers and foremen and ensure that our level of safety and quality is upheld to deliver projects on time. We need project managers in each of our three divisions: sheet metal, industrial services, and roofing. Come join our growing team!

Duties & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other workers on the same project Manage a team of supervisors and laborers to complete projects, delegate their responsibilities, create their work schedules, and manage their workload Responsible for any delays, emergencies, and problems that can arise Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements Report project progress and budget to client Explain contract and technical matters to others in a clear manner Prepare budgets and cost estimates, along with work timetables Other duties as assigned by management

Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in project management highly preferred Project management certification preferred 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in construction or manufacturing Constant contact with people like the public, inspectors and owners; requires great customer service skills who listen and speak in a clear and concise manner so that goals are met Leadership skills to oversee delegating tasks to workers, subcontractors, and other lower-level managers Communication skills to give clear orders and process complex information to delegate to others in a simpler manner Time management skills. Each part of the construction project has to be done at a certain time so that everything runs smoothly Writing proposals and budget plans, along with documentation of the project to the client is an important aspect Technical skills to interpret construction methods, contracts, and drawings of the project Requires the ability to use a phone and tablet to input data, such a timecard information, emails, etc. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus for this role

Working Environment:

Work is typically performed while standing or sitting, in a non-climate-controlled machine shop, or on job sites under varying weather and working conditions. Office hours are required.

Salary:

Starting at $65,000, but TBD by work experience and skill level
