Required Skills:

5+ years as a Superintendent or lead Foreman Experience coordinating, scheduling, delivering equipment & man power in a timely manner Experience with construction staking/surveying Hands on experience with Civil/Piping projects from start to finish

Job Responsibilities:

Full knowledge and understanding of all project plans and specifications Ensure all work meets or exceeds both project specifications and company quality standards Manage time effectively and maintain primary presence in the field Keep detailed daily written records and notes Capture and turn in project photos daily Ability to perform construction staking/survey using basic instruments, verify foreman surveying Understanding of tools and materials required to complete each task and ensuring Foreman has required tools needed and maintaining these tools Coordinate delivery and pickup of all required heavy equipment and materials for work Ability to understand basic mechanics of all equipment and make minor repairs when necessary or provide proper diagnosis for mechanic to make repair Verify and recognize any plan discrepancies in advance of construction work Ability to plan out activities two to three weeks ahead Schedule all day to day needs such as trucking, equipment, materials, etc. ahead of time and locate vendors if necessary for job needs Ability to manage multiple crews and oversee multiple subcontractors that can be spread across multiple jobsites Understand scheduling activities and the importance of keeping to schedule and maximizing all crew members’ time Understand costs associated with work and how to keep these costs within allotted budget Ability to talk with inspectors, owners, and community and convey accurate, concise information along with defusing hostile situations Efficiently communicate all issues, progress, planning, changes, etc. with project manager and/or General Superintendent Ensure crews are working efficiently and safely at all times Review daily plans and progress with foreman on daily basis Ability to hire employees to fill job roles and fire employees when deemed necessary
