Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Construction Manager to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficient coordination of resources, timely delivery, and strict adherence to budgets and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing construction projects, excellent leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. This is a 10-month contract position with a competitive hourly salary in the range of $90,000 – $100,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project flow. Review and ensure compliance with project plans, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Team Management & Leadership:

Lead and motivate project teams, providing direction and guidance to internal staff and external vendors. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report to stakeholders on project performance. Resolve any issues, risks, or conflicts that arise throughout the construction process.

Budget & Cost Management:

Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources. Track and report financial performance, including forecasting and managing change orders. Ensure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors while maintaining budget integrity.

Risk Management & Safety:

Identify and mitigate potential risks that could affect project timelines, budgets, or quality. Oversee site safety and ensure that the project complies with safety regulations and protocols. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.

Client Communication & Reporting:

Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and solutions. Ensure all deliverables meet client expectations and specifications.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering degree, Architecture, or a related field, Preferred but not required 5+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 2 years in a lead role. Proven ability to manage all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and team coordination. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and legal/regulatory requirements. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, handling competing priorities with ease. Client facing experience. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Industrial controls experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent. Experience with industrial construction projects. Familiarity with sustainable building practices and green construction methods. OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training.
