Preconstruction Director – Concrete Position Available In DeKalb, Georgia

Job Description:

Our commercial concrete client is seeking a bright, energeticand organized person with at least 10 years of experience to leadthe estimating department. This person will work on commercialprojects within our core markets, and will need to have experiencein commercial concrete, specifically tilt-up concrete. Thisindividual must have strong people skills and will work closelywith our preconstruction personnel, architects, engineers, owners,and GCs to provide timely, accurate estimates for all types ofconcrete work. The description of the position will encompass butnot be limited to: Meet with preconstruction/estimating team to getcomplete understanding of scopes of work to be priced Developdetail and accurate take-offs of the work from the contract plansComprehend all project specifications, scope limits, and projectconstraints and be able to incorporate this into the pricingDevelop complete and accurate estimates including all pricing thatare ready for review by managers. Develop proposal documents forthe estimate Track and update vendor information Develop strategiesfor increasing productivity Track estimating results and successrates
