This hand-on role provides coaching and guidance to technicians, supports complex job execution, and oversees onsite job readiness, safety, and performance – including maintenance, installations, and service. This position is responsible for technical escalations, job site inspections, and ensuring technician training and truck inventory compliance. In close collaboration with sales, this role contributes to quoting accuracy, customer satisfaction, and warranty call management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Technical escalation point
  • Coach, support, and guide field service techs in the field.
  • Complete site visits with techs/sales
  • Kick off large scale jobs
  • Work with sales team on quoting accuracy
  • Working with techs onsite with complex jobs
  • Work with techs inventory counts and stocking levels
  • Onsite safety audits, truck inspections
  • Ensure Techs are trained and are technically capable of completing work
  • Ensure truck inventory accuracy (stocked with right parts/tools)
  • 90% of the time in the field
  • Site walks and pre job inspections
  • Ensuring safety in the field
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Managing warranty Calls SKILLS Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

) with the ability to quickly learn new software and tools. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of inventory operations. Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance. Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy. Leadership and mentoring capabilities with excellent communication and active listening skills. Strong technical knowledge of service operations and equipment. Comfortable working in varied environments and interacting directly with customers. Strong safety mindset and familiarity with OSHA standards. Familiarity with field service software (e.g., ServiceTitan) is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or trade school education preferred. OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus.

Experience:
REQUIRED

3+ years’ experience in the commercial dock and door industry. 2+ years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred. Proved experience leading teams in field operations and resolving complex technical issues. Authorization to work in the United States.

  • A current and valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is
REQUIRED.
    DOT Certification:

    Will be required upon hire.

    • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 60 lbs unassisted) and operate warehouse equipment safely.
    • Forklift certification will be required within 30 days of hire date.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
