In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and renovation of commercial medical offices, automotive repair facilities, and daycare centers across multiple job sites nationwide. You will play a critical role in managing day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a traveling position with housing provided close to each job site.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage all aspects of ground-up construction and renovation projects for commercial spaces, including medical offices, automotive repair facilities, and daycare centers. Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors and construction workers, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on site. Oversee the execution of construction schedules, ensuring timely delivery of projects in line with established deadlines. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations. Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking material costs, labor, and change orders. Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or concerns that arise during construction. Ensure that all necessary permits, inspections, and other regulatory requirements are met. Maintain accurate records of daily operations, project progress, and any changes made to the original plans. Provide leadership and guidance to site crews, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. Address and resolve any on-site issues that may arise to avoid delays and maintain project flow.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, specifically with ground-up builds and renovations. Experience in constructing or renovating medical offices, automotive repair shops, and daycare centers is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and local building codes and regulations. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage subcontractors, workers, and clients. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team on-site. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Willingness to travel to different job sites across the country. Housing provided near each job site.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required). Certification in construction safety, such as OSHA 30-hour or similar.
