Construction Superintendent Local General Contractor Baton Rouge, LA 70809 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. Duties Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and labor to ensure project milestones are met. Review blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and requirements. Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure adherence to quality control measures. Manage project schedules and timelines, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines. Oversee construction estimating processes to ensure accurate budgeting and resource allocation. Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders regarding progress, challenges, and changes. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies. Skills Strong knowledge of construction site management practices. Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics. Experience with quality control processes in construction projects. Familiarity with pipeline construction techniques is a plus. Proficient in using Prolog or similar project management software for tracking progress and documentation. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively. Strong understanding of contract management and compliance requirements. Ability to perform construction estimating for project budgeting.
