Experience in construction is a must. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting process, handling payables/receivables, project contractracts, payroll, managing the office, to name a few. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, technical accounting skills, and proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks. Duties Maintain accurate financial records by recording journal entries and managing accounts payable and receivable. Manage the office Handle project contracts, paperwork, etc. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Perform reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy. Process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks for efficient bookkeeping practices. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant financial data. Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed. Stay updated on governmental accounting standards and public accounting practices to ensure compliance. Requirements Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in accounting or finance. Experience with a construction company. Strong knowledge of financial concepts, governmental accounting, and technical accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Quickbooks. Experience with journal entries, payroll processing, and financial report writing is essential. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
