Civil Construction Estimator/Project Manager Jared Richard Construction LLC Scott, LA 70583 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Construction Estimator/Project Manager to bid on as well as oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. Experienced is preferred and the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of construction management, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. This role requires a proactive approach to project management, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. A Bachelor’s degree is highly recommended and sought. Responsibilities Must be able to read, comprehend and understand civil and architectural plans/drawings. Lead and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to define project scope and objectives. Utilize project management software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for effective planning, scheduling, and cost control. Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and pricing. Monitor construction site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and address any issues that arise promptly. Prepare detailed reports on project status, including cost analysis and risk assessments for stakeholders. Implement effective cost control measures to minimize expenses while maximizing efficiency in construction processes. Experience Strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices. Familiarity with contract negotiation and management is highly desirable. Proficiency, understanding and/or willing to learn on how to estimate projects. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse teams including contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies. Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost control and budget management.
