About the

Role:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible forcost estimates and general operational oversight of variouscommercial and industrial electrical construction projects.

  • Various project sites throughout the state of CO. Project Managersprimarily work at their assigned project site with occasionaltravel to the Sturgeon main office in Henderson, CO.
  • This positionoffers relocation assistance, bonus eligibility, and includes acompany phone and car.

Sturgeon Electric’s Commercial and Industrial (C&I)electrical construction division specializes in large-scalecommercial electrical projects, telecommunications, trafficsignalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution serviceand maintenance to clients. Sturgeon Electric has experienceperforming projects under Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods,and also offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabricationcapabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities.

Essential Functions Prepare project construction schedules Submit”Requests for Information” to clients Manage day-to-day activitiesof assigned projects Act as the main point-of-contact for projectpersonnel Coordinate meetings, schedule updates, submitdeliverables, and address outstanding open items as requested byclients Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly, monthly progressreports and billing information Review and monitor job costs versusbudgets Report regularly to management team Prepare complete costestimates (labor and material) for commercial & industrial projectswithin set deadlines Perform field take-offs/evaluations forestimate preparation Participate in the estimate review processwith internal and external stakeholders Prepare bills of materialand other information for use by purchasing Prepare complete laborand material cost estimates Schedule and attend field walk-downswith customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel tounderstand and determine constructability requirements Comparevarious project documents for accuracy and consistency Assist inthe preparation and submission of change orders Coordinate closelywith project management Assist construction personnel throughoutthe project lifecycle in tracking and understanding basis of costestimate Regular and predictable attendance Essential functions ofthis position are to be performed in a Company-designated office orfield location Understand and comply with the Company’s Code ofBusiness Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specificprofessional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable. About You:

Qualifications 10 years’ projectmanagement and estimating in the electrical industry Bachelor’sdegree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field;combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieuof degree Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledgeable withspecifications, proposals, and other documentation to preparetime/cost/labor estimates for projects and services Knowledgeableof the N.E.C. and all relevant local codes Ability to read andunderstand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, etc. plansand specifications to include blueprints, proposals and otherdocuments as they relate to electrical work Computer literate andproficient with Microsoft Office applications Proficient withestimating software such as Accubid or equivalent Ability toprepare construction schedules in Microsoft Project and/orPrimavera Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal andwritten communication skills Team player who is able tosuccessfully work with diverse internal and external partnersSelf-driven with the ability to stay on-task for extended periodsof time

What We Offer:

Compensation & Benefits Salary$115,000

  • 140,000 / year Commensurate with experience, paid weekly.
