Commercial roofing knowledge would be great, but if you have experience leading commercial construction projects, are a problem solver and have a strong desire and aptitude to learn, you may have found the opportunity you have been looking for. The Commercial Roofing Project Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of commercial roofing projects. They are responsible for leading a team of roofing technicians, coordinating project activities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality guidelines, and delivering projects within budget and on schedule. The Commercial Roofing Project Superintendent acts as a liaison between the roof technicians, the client and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Coordination

• Work with our Project Management team to understand and execute the game plan of your assigned roofing project
• Coordinate and schedule project activities, including material procurement and delivery, crew assignments, and equipment needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to address project requirements and resolve any issues. 2. Team Leadership and Management
• Supervise and lead a team of roofing technicians, providing supervision and support as needed.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals, progress, and expectations.
• Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Safety and Quality Control:

• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to identify and address potential hazards or risks.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the highest level of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Project Execution and Documentation:

• Oversee the execution of roofing projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Monitor project progress, identify any issues or delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily activity logs, work orders, and change orders.
• Collaborate with the project team to prepare progress reports, project summaries, and final documentation.

Client Relationship Management:

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders regarding project updates and inquiries.
• Address client concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and problem-solving.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications or trade school education preferred).
• Proven experience in commercial construction, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques would be ideal but not required.
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and blueprints.
• Proficient in using construction management software and other project management tools.
