Overview:

The Pre-Construction Manager IV is responsible for works closely with our customers and other team members to establish a clear, defined and documented construction scope of work (turn gray into black and white). The Pre-Construction Manager is positively impacting the profitability of multiple projects, support corporate initiatives, and improve our safety environment. The tasks and duties are exposing the individual to business strategies, new and innovative system concepts, and develop the individual�s application skills.

Responsibilities:
Prospect Evaluation:

Works with Operations to identify needs, and target projects. Manages prospect list, Go/No-Go process, and customer database.

Project Pursuit:

Assists engineering and estimating in preparing pricing, VE information, and support documents. Clearly defines project scope and verifies assumptions, clarifications, and exclusions are communicated to GC/Owner team. Leads prequalification effort, RFP response and project presentations on qualified projects.

Managing of Preconstruction activities:

Thoroughly reviews design drawings, specifications, estimates, sub/vendor quotes, proposals and contract scope to understand risk and influence project profitability. Verifies scope is documented properly to minimize project team confusion and helps ensure construction decisions are made in a timely manner. On qualified projects, manages all project deliverables to customer during pre-construction phase.

Account Management:

Maintains and grows customer relationships through active involvement in the pre-construction phase of work. Provides consistent customer delivery and clearly communicates the Company Advantage.

Mentoring of Other Employees:

This individual provides direct mentoring to other employees outside of the department.

Public Speaking:

The individual is required to present to groups of ten or more.

Support:

Periodically assists other Operational Services Departments.

Qualifications:

30 hours of continued education. 8+ years� experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. Versed in the industry and the Company�s competitors. Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary. Not applicable. Quiet environment Climbing stairs. Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds 0-5% of the time will be spent traveling to the job site(s)/office locations.

Pay Range:

USD $101,610.00 – USD $135,640.00 /Yr.
