APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Distribution Site Supervisor for its New Orleans, Louisiana facility. The New Orleans facility produces and distributes liquid and gaseous hydrogen. The ideal candidate should have strong background in terminal operations, DOT regulations, and provide strong leadership in safety. A detailed understanding of vehicle and personnel safety is required to assist the Site Manager in providing leadership to a staff of 38 company drivers, 8 vehicle mechanics, a site administrator, and a driver supervisor. Abilities:

Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills A track record of success on Safety, Environmental, Quality Strong distribution experience Some knowledge of equipment maintenance. Experience with SAP software systems highly desirable but not mandatory for consideration.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient terminal operation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Coach, mentor, and lead drivers and driver supervisor. Engage team through regular formal and informal observations (delivery and yard), customer site visits, ride-alongs and safety meetings. Supervise vehicle maintenance team and manage equipment resource availability to ensure preventative maintenance in accordance with company requirements. Utilize optimization tools to understand and drive performance in safety and distribution key performance indicators. Work closely with logistics to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries. Provide customer site safety inspections to assure safe access of new and existing accounts and equipment requirements meet delivery expectations. Be the primary liaison between site management and the terminal. Be the primary liaison between the fleet support team and the terminal. Review incidents and conduct root cause investigations when needed. Ensure incident reports and subsequent action items are completed and recorded. Oversight of third-party contract carrier operations. This is a safety sensitive position.

Education and Licensing Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent. Relevant experience is a plus for this position however, not mandatory.
