POSITION SUMMARY

The Repair Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating repair projects for homes, ensuring that they meet the needs of the homeowners, and are in-line with our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. This role involves managing repair projects, supervising contractors, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to various grant requirements. The Repair Manager will work closely with homeowners, volunteers, contractors, and staff to deliver high-quality repair services.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS

Full-time position/40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities Project Management:

Plan, schedule, and coordinate repair projects. Assess the scope of work for each project and develop detailed work plans. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Monitor and track project progress and make adjustments as needed. Keep detailed notes of interactions with homeowners, contractors, and change orders. Ensure compliance with various grant requirements and reporting standards.

Contractor Supervision:

Recruit, evaluate, and supervise contractors for repair projects. Negotiate contracts and agreements with contractors. Ensure contractors adhere to project timelines and quality standards.

Quality Control:

Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the organization’s standards and safety regulations. Address any issues or deficiencies promptly and effectively. Implement and maintain quality assurance processes.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of all repair projects, including budgets, schedules, and work completed. Prepare and submit regular reports on project status and outcomes to the Director of Homeowner Services. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, organizational policies, and grant requirements. Ensure that project invoices, receipts, cost tracking, and accounting are accurately processed and completed in a timely manner.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Communicate regularly with homeowners to provide updates and address concerns. Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure cohesive service delivery. Engage with community partners and stakeholders to promote the repair program. Demonstrate the highest level of respect and professionalism when communicating with homeowners, partners, staff, board and all affiliate stakeholders.

Required Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or technical training preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, home repair, or a related field; experience in project management and team supervision is highly desirable.

Skills:

Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in basic construction and repair techniques. Ability to work with diverse groups, including volunteers and homeowners. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations. Familiarity with grant requirements and reporting.

Working Conditions:
