Substation Construction Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a substation project for a large Data Center located between Rayville and Delhi, LA. This multi-year project requires a dedicated leader to drive subcontractor performance and manage a crew of up to 25 people, ensuring the production and quality standards are met. Responsibilities Lead subcontractor crews in building a substation. Drive subcontractor performance to ensure quality and production standards. Oversee overall production and quality of the job and crew. Manage a team of up to 25 people. Ensure construction subcontractors execute work in accordance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements. Facilitate communication with the project team and stakeholders. Conduct standardized reporting and appropriate construction meetings. Essential Skills Substation Construction Management experience. Distribution Construction Management experience. Proficiency in electrical distribution and power delivery. Familiarity with construction documents and QA/QC processes. Strong computer and reporting skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Entergy projects. Knowledge in construction, construction management, project management, transmission, safety, electrical, and project management construction. Work Environment This project is expected to last over 2 years and involves fieldwork coordinating subcontractor crews. The standard work schedule is 10-hour days for 5 days a week, totaling over 50 hours per week. A 50-hour base workweek includes time and a half, with 7 days of per diem provided. Holidays and PTO are offered, with the first 40 hours of vacation billed back to the customer. This role offers the potential for future project work due to the client’s growing footprint within Entergy and other utilities.
