Substation QC Job Description We are seeking a Quality Control Representative to oversee the construction of a substation for a large data center project located between Rayville and Delhi, LA. This project is expected to last several years, ranging from 2 to 5 years, depending on progress. The role involves supervising subcontractor performance and leading crews to ensure the successful construction of the substation. Responsibilities Drive subcontractor performance to meet project goals. Lead subcontractor crews in building a substation. Ensure overall production quality of the project and manage crew operations. Handle reporting aspects effectively and accurately. Oversee construction and commissioning phases, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, reporting, contract, standards, change management, risk management, and scheduling. Essential Skills Substation Quality Control experience Distribution Construction Management experience Proficiency in electrical distribution and power delivery Knowledge of construction documents and QA/QC processes Computer skills for reporting and documentation Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Entergy projects Construction management and project management Understanding of transmission and safety protocols Experience in electrical project management Work Environment The position involves fieldwork, coordinating subcontractor crews with a standard work week of 50 hours, consisting of 10-hour workdays for 5 days. The role offers per diem and potential overtime opportunities. The project environment is dynamic, with the possibility of future projects, backed by a strong backlog for 2024 and 2025. Holidays and PTO are provided, with specific billing arrangements. The project site is outdoors, requiring active engagement in construction activities.
