Lead Monitor/Security 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 270 Communication Way, Hyannis, MA 02601 The Lead Monitor will be responsible for leading a team of staff who will monitor clients at the Barnstable Community Justice Support Center, a community based facility serving adults involved with the justice system while experiencing addiction issues. The Lead Monitor is responsible for oversight of all monitoring activities at the Center including: Supervise all monitoring operations at center Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts Fill vacant shifts as needed Provide direct monitoring of clients in all phases of daily routines including break periods. Monitor all educational and clinical classes/groups Take accurate attendance of all clients. Maintain accurate communications log entries. Collection and documentation of urine screens Write incident reports as needed and communicate concerns to program management Responsible for on-going training of security staff Provide feedback on performance to staff and conduct annual performance reviews Screen and presents candidates for hire to program management Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and trainings as directed. Prevent crisis situations from escalating by intervening and counseling clients Provide support and assistance in any crisis situation Maintain work schedule as directed

Education/Experience/Physical Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; or Associate’s Degree and four (4) years of experience in social service, security, or related field; or high school diploma and six (6) years of experience in social service, security, or related field One year of supervisory experience Demonstrated ability to exercise courtesy, respect, and professionalism in interpersonal communication with public and clients Mastery of de-escalation techniques. Valid Drivers License Visual and auditory acuity in order to maintain security of the center.
