Job Description
Construction Project Manager/Estimator Diversified Construction Services 10 South Main Street, Belchertown, MA 01007 We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager / Estimator to oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects—from estimation and procurement through to execution and close-out. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, coordinating materials and subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position requires strong leadership, technical construction knowledge, and a hands-on approach to managing both office and field operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in general construction, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field. 2+ years of demonstrated relevant experience in the field of general construction required, including previous roles as Supervisor, Project Manager, or Construction Estimator. Additional experience as a construction foreman, construction project superintendent, construction project supervisor, or construction project manager may also be considered. Experience in project management involving municipal and public works construction preferred. Ability to interpret bid documents, plans, and all other related project/construction documents. Ability to professionally interact with clients, architects and designers, subcontractors and vendors Understanding of logistics to complete projects, including labor, equipment, and material requirements. Experience with performing takeoffs and ability to learn industry specific software programs Must possess exceptional organizational, communication, and time management skills Willingness to travel to various job sites/meetings as needed Email and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee project from bidding to completion. Estimate scope and price of work based on plan drawings and specifications. Obtain accurate quotes for materials and sub trades. Source and coordinate materials and subcontractors. Attend jobsite meetings as needed. Schedule and dispatch field employees and subcontractors for most efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials. Plan & coordinate project logistics to complete the work on time, within budget, and to quality specified. Position has continual contact with clients, management, and project staff. Must be courteous, professional, and diplomatic.
