Full Job Description Job Summary:
Assabet Village Development are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Excavation Construction Project Manager to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating excavation equipment, reading site plans, and working efficiently on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for digging trenches, foundations, grading land, and preparing sites according to project specifications and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, and loaders. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans to determine excavation requirements. Excavate and grade areas for foundations, utilities, and other structural elements. Ensure the proper depth, slope, and alignment of excavations. Maintain a safe and clean worksite at all times. Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any mechanical issues immediately. Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion. Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and company procedures. Perform site prep, backfilling, trenching, and compacting as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 10 years of experience in excavation and heavy equipment operation. Valid Hoisting License Clean Driving Record Strong understanding of excavation safety practices and procedures. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakes. Physical strength and stamina to work in demanding environments.
Preferred:
OSHA 10 or 30 certification. CDL license (if transporting equipment is part of the job).
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work environment in various weather conditions. Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of equipment operation. May require weekend or overtime work depending on project deadlines. Please apply with Resume. Be ready to show your driving record upon interview.
