JOB DESCRIPTION

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily operations on their assigned construction site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Superintendent coordinates subcontractors, enforces safety regulations, and serves as the primary on-site contact while maintaining strong communication with the rest of the internal Coastal team, consultants, and customer.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Site Management
• Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Collaboration
• Supervise and direct subcontractors, trades, and site personnel; engage consultants for RFI’s and recommendations as needed while maintaining a productive and positive environment
• Safety
• Enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations; conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections. Engage Coastal safety specialist for review and recommendations
• Documentation
• Maintain accurate daily logs, site reports, RFI’s and records of project progress, incidents, and inspections.

Provide work completed and two week lookahead each week to Project Manager

QUALIFACTIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field experience preferred.
• Proven strong communication skills
• Proven record delivering Customers a positive experience.
• Ability to work positively, respectfully and collaboratively with owners, architects, subcontractors and employees
• 3+ years of experience in construction supervision or a related role. Acting in a supervisory role for a subcontractor also considered
• Proven knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
• Proficient in reading drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to manage correspondence through both smartphone and computer
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Capable of standing, walking, and moving around the job site for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed

• Working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Suite

• OSHA 30 hr certification

• Travel to job sites throughout NE states
• Preferred
• MA Construction Supervisor License (CSL)
