Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily operations of all phases of field construction from initial planning to completion, on schedule, within budget and to the level of quality expected by MBG and the Owner. The position requires an understanding of the construction business, safety compliance and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The successful Project Superintendent needs excellent business judgment, a strong work ethic, demonstrate a sense of urgency, be organized and detail oriented, self-motivated, have outstanding problem-solving skills, be team player, have excellent communication and diplomatic skills along with an ability to handle and resolve conflict in a fair but firm manner. Superintendent’s primary responsibilities include solving unexpected events, maintaining general performance and overall progress of the project while building a foundation of trust with our teams. Implement and reinforce field safety and reporting; verify subcontractor safety program Oversee quality assurance, identify potential issues and produce RFIs, submittals and change order requests Review drawings and specifications; have a thorough understanding of the scope of work Work with the project manager to prepare a schedule of construction activities. Perform material and quantity estimates for each phase of work. Direct and control the total construction project to meet specifications within the allotted time schedule in an efficient manner to produce the expected profit. Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure they perform their work effectively and within the project schedule. Inform all supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes. Review all request for change orders with the project manager to assure they are documented properly and submitted in a timely manner. Ability to communicate with state, county, and city government, including: obtaining inspections, and a Certificate of Occupancy. Monitor costs. Maintain a clean and organized job site. Job site should be cleaned of waste debris on a daily basis. Maintain a daily log to record all significant project facts, events, conditions, and visitors. Perform daily site safety inspections and toolbox talks Knowledgeable in construction means and methods Represent the company to the owner, architect, subcontractors, vendors and government authorities. Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiar with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Relocation for duration of project may be required.

Experience:
Five plus years commercial jobsite experience; related degree preferred; equivalent combination of education or experience will be considered; experience with Hospitality projects a plus.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret all construction related documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Regularly Working Conditions:
The associate occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This is a safety-sensitive position.
