Field Application Specialist with

HammerHead:

TheApplication Specialist reports to the Manager, ApplicationSpecialists and is responsible for facilitating training andpracticums, as well as providing advanced technical support forHammerHead equipment applications. This includes new equipmentstartups, pilot programs, rental equipment technical support, andabove-ground live demonstrations. This position contributes to ourhigh level of customer support by acting as a trusted advisor andconducting activities with the highest degree of integrity,efficiency, and professionalism. -What Will You Do? Travel to multiple job/construction sites throughout the yearvia air and highways. Facilitate customer training using highly specialized industryexpertise and principles of adult learning theory. Support sales by conducting pilot programs, providing technicalsupport for rental equipment, and performing live above-grounddemonstrations for prospective customers. Assess trainees using a standardized rubric for certificationpurposes. Maintain a high level of product knowledge of the HammerHeadTrenchless product lines. Act as subject matter expert for the development of trainingcurriculum, testing, and materials. Test products in the field and at the main facility. Provide regular feedback to product management from customersregarding current issues and future needs. Participate in regional and national trade shows. Maintain budgeted expense levels. Other duties and assignments as directed.

Work Environment:

Construction job site environment the majority of the time.

This environment includes physical hazards such as utilities(typically gas, electric, and water lines), powered vehicle andpedestrian traf—c, sharp objects, and moving machinery. Outdoorweather and construction site conditions such as open excavations,unimproved land, incomplete structures, etc. Extensive use of the telephone and email communications. Rapidly changing demands, schedules, and deadlines. Working with hazardous materials, including fuels, lubricants,fluids, and batteries. Air and highway travel up to 75% of the time. Some travel on weekends to ensure timely arrival at customersites, travel on short notice. Normal minimum work hours are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday throughFriday. Additional hours/days as required to support customers asdirected.

What Do You Need? High School diploma required. Valid US driver’s license required. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the trenchless industryis preferred. Demonstrated record of working in close collaborative teamenvironment. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint orequivalent. Results oriented, hands-on approach to customer support andtraining. Ability to mentor and coach customers on best practices. Critical reasoning skills and ability to listen and acquirecritical information. Team oriented persona who embodies the essence of “we” over”me.” Confident while at the same time having the ability to besincerely approachable and personable. Self-starter with the self-discipline to schedule and completetasks without direct supervision.

Tier 2 Minimum five years of experience in the industry. OR minimum three years of experience in the industry plusminimum one year of experience as a trainer, project manager,project supervisor or crew leader.

Tier 3 Minimum ten years of experience in the industry. OR minimum eight years of experience in the industry plusminimum three years of experience as a trainer, project manager,project supervisor or crew leader.
