We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent to service our clients around the United States By supporting the superintendent, the assistant superintendent helps ensure that the project runs smoothly and successfully.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

We provide the necessary technology and access to cloud reporting systems needed to complete projects on time and within budget. Previous experience in commercial construction is preferred (includes internships). Ability to travel to worksites throughout the United States. Basic knowledge of performing layout on construction projects. Able to read and comprehend blueprints, architectural, and structural drawings. Assist in developing and reviewing project schedules. Must be motivated and detailed oriented. Able to communicate with clients, sub-contractors, and employees in a professional manner. OSHA 30 certification preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning & Coordination Assist in developing and reviewing project schedules. Coordinate with the superintendent, general contractor, project managers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow. Ensure that materials and equipment are available as needed for project phases. On-Site Supervision Oversee daily site operations and supervise drywall crews to ensure adherence to project plans and schedules. Monitor labor productivity and ensure that work is being performed according to safety and quality standards. Provide direction and feedback to team members on their performance. Quality Control Inspect drywall installation for adherence to project specifications, drawings, and codes. Ensure that all work meets the standards for quality and craftsmanship. Identify and correct deficiencies or potential issues on-site. Safety Management Ensure that all personnel on-site adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Report and document any safety incidents or accidents. Communication Attend progress meetings and provide updates on the status of the drywall installation. Relay instructions and changes from the superintendent or project manager to the on-site team. Documentation & Reporting Maintain daily logs and reports of on-site activities, including progress, issues, and incidents. Document time and resource usage to ensure accurate reporting and billing. Assist with change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other project documentation. Problem-Solving Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues, such as material shortages, delays, or conflicts with other trades. Proactively identify potential delays or problems and work with the superintendent to develop solutions. Material & Resource Management Monitor material deliveries and usage to minimize waste and ensure adequate supply. Coordinate the storage and staging of drywall materials on the job site. Assist in tracking labor hours and equipment usage.
