Job Description

Construction Project Manager 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Starkville, MS 39759 ECON Construction is hiring a Construction Project Manager. Econ is a civil construction company located in Starkville, MS. The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. The Project Manager acts as the main point of contact between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Pre-Construction:

Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines. Develop detailed project schedules and work plans. Coordinate permits, drawings, and approvals.

Budget & Cost Control:

Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates. Track project expenditures and prepare financial reports. Approve invoices and manage change orders.

Construction Oversight:

Oversee on-site operations and construction activities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Conduct site visits and inspections regularly.

Team & Contractor Management:

Hire, coordinate, and manage subcontractors and vendors. Lead construction meetings and ensure effective communication. Resolve conflicts and troubleshoot issues on-site.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive project documentation. Report project status, risks, and progress to senior leadership. Ensure project close-out, punch list completion, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. Proven experience managing commercial and infrastructure projects. 3+ years of experience in Civil Construction Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and regulations. Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera). PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification preferred.

Work Conditions:
