The Role We’re looking for a proactive Commercial Superintendent to lead onsite execution with confidence and clarity. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the field—solving problems on the fly, keeping crews aligned, and making decisions that move the project forward. The right person knows how to manage a site with skill and professionalism, build great relationships with trade partners, and represent Gateway’s values in every interaction. What You’ll Do

• Run the jobsite from kickoff to closeout—managing day-to-day operations and keeping the work on schedule, safe, and up to spec
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors with clarity and accountability
• Lead weekly toolbox talks, perform daily safety audits, and keep the jobsite clean, organized, and productive
• Develop and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules and partner with the PM team to align field and office efforts
• Conduct daily walkthroughs and troubleshoot challenges before they become delays
• Keep thorough documentation of all jobsite activities including daily reports, progress photos, subcontractor updates, and punch lists
• Attend superintendent meetings and contribute to team growth through mentoring and collaboration What You Bring
• A four-year construction-related degree, or at least 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial construction, including 3+ years running jobs independently as a Superintendent
• Proven ability to coordinate field activities, subcontractors, and materials to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and to spec
• Comfortable self-performing tasks such as layout, general carpentry, and concrete prep work—and leading all trades on-site
• Strong understanding of construction documents, subcontracts, and schedules; confident navigating job specs and solving problems in the field
• Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Procore experience is a plus, but not required
• Able to adapt to jobsite challenges with a solution-focused, team-first attitude
• Committed to jobsite safety and cleanliness, with the leadership to set and maintain those standards
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Spanish proficiency is a plus
