Rocky Mount, NC 27804 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. Duties Supervise all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes, including OSHA standards. Manage daily operations on the construction site, coordinating activities among subcontractors and laborers. Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications to ensure accurate implementation of plans. Utilize project management software such as Primavera and Prolog for scheduling, tracking progress, and managing resources. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with project managers to develop construction estimates and budgets. Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively. Skills Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation. Experience with construction estimating techniques. Excellent supervisory skills with a proven ability to lead teams effectively. Familiarity with project management tools such as Primavera and Prolog. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
