What You’ll Do:

Promote a safe work environment and continuous development and reinforcement of safety culture. Support the construction supervision with technical and values base development of their teams. Knowledge and experience of plant construction, plant repair, and plant maintenance including but not limited to steel fabrication, welding, cutting with a torch, steel erection, electrical, and plumbing practices. Assists area and plant managers in trouble shooting and problem resolution with fixed equipment. Reports plant and/or equipment conditions to appropriate personnel as required. Assists plant and /or shop personnel with repair and maintenance. Assists plant and/or shop personnel with repair and maintenance as required and/or maintenance personnel in performing repairs on stationary equipment such as crushers, conveyors, vibrators, screens, speed reducers, feeders, air compressors, etc. Engage with Engineering departments and Plant Operations to develop annual capitol project build schedules with internal and external resources. Supports and participates in updating and delivering the region/company training programs. Support Engineering with Project cost and time estimating. Support Engineering with Project control on construction sites. Identify and develop contractors as necessary for forecasted workload. Manage Contractor relationships Assist engineering/operations with plant structural inspections and repairs. Manage small to medium size projects as necessary. Assist with developing SOP’s as it relates to Construction and Fabrication practices. Provides assistance in equipment inspections and identifies conditions (wear, alignment, function, etc.) and monitors performance as directed. Repairs, replaces, disassemble and/or reassemble all plant processing equipment. Provides a wide variety of welding and construction services. Maintains shop and processing equipment. Assists and trains other technical level employees. Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Skills You’ll Need:

Education. College or technical school education related to construction trades is preferred. Experience. Five years of field experience with trade skills, welding, and equipment operation is preferred. Functional Knowledge. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Must have knowledge of welding, erection, fabrication, electrical, concrete, and plumbing practices. Flexibility. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
