Description Seeking an experienced UtilitySuperintendent with a strong background in utilities and pipinginstallation to oversee civil construction projects in theGreensbboro area. This role is pivotal in ensuring successfulproject execution from start to finish, with a focus on undergroundutilities, piping systems, and overall site development.
KeyResponsibilities:
Project Oversight:
Manage onsite operations forassigned construction projects from groundbreaking through projectcloseout.
Plan Interpretation:
Read and interpret constructiondrawings, specifications, permits, and layouts to guide projectexecution.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Project Manager,General Superintendent, and senior leadership to ensure projectgoals are met.
Subcontractor Management:
Supervise and coordinatemultiple subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with projecttimelines and quality standards.
Client & StakeholderCommunication:
Maintain consistent communication with clients,vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure alignmentthroughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Coordination:
Partnerwith engineers, environmental consultants, and other keystakeholders to address technical challenges and ensure compliancewith project requirements.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce companysafety policies and ensure all activities adhere to OSHA standardsand industry best practices.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintainaccurate project documentation, including progress reports, safetyrecords, and subcontractor performance logs.
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to support overallproject success. Profile The Utility Superintendent – CivilConstruction – Greensboro should have: Proven experience as aUtility Superintendent or similar role with extensive knowledge ofunderground utilities , piping systems , and site development.
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and best practices fortrenching, excavation, and confined space work. Excellentleadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
