Land Development Manager Job Description We are seeking a Civil Project Manager to join our Land Development team. Our team is highly experienced and dedicated to providing high-level professional services. Responsibilities Execute land development civil engineering projects efficiently, meeting schedules and budgets. Support land development civil teams in producing civil plan sets. Effectively manage internal support teams (survey, traffic, hydrology, and hydraulics) by communicating and managing technical details, schedules, and budgets. Implement QA/QC programs and ensure compliance within the project team. Work with City/County staff for project plan approval. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and allocate resources through different project stages. Administer construction services portions of projects including RFI response and site meetings with contractors. Effectively lead up to five assigned technical personnel, including assigning and overseeing project assignments, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness, training staff in civil engineering design and CAD/Civil3D, and recommending compensation adjustments and/or promotions. Essential Skills Competence in fundamental civil engineering design principles for land development projects. Experience in cost estimating, bid phase assistance, construction administration, and general construction methods. Proficiency with current computer-aided design (CAD/Civil 3D) and production software with the ability to learn new versions or new technology. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of four years of experience in Land Development Engineering design. Licensed Professional Engineer (or eligible for licensure in 6-12 months). Graduate from an accredited university or college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (experience or degrees in other disciplines may be substituted at Management’s discretion). Work Environment This position offers a hybrid work environment with 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days working from home. There is a great opportunity to work yourself into ownership with a small consulting firm in the Johnston County area.
