Job Description
We are a general contractor for an array of commercial construction projects throughout the southeast with an emphasis on retail construction. Traveling Superintendent Position Overview The Traveling Superintendent will oversee construction projects across various locations, ensuring that all operations align with company standards and are completed on time and within budget. This role requires extensive travel to project sites, managing teams, and liaising with clients to maintain strong relationships and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily construction operations on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely completion of construction tasks. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and construction crews to maintain quality work standards. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations and building codes. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns. Prepare and review progress reports, change orders, and invoices for accuracy and compliance. Resolve conflicts and issues that may arise during the construction process. Qualifications Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial, retail, or big-box construction projects. Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Ability to travel frequently to various project sites as required. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
