Utility Foreman Accentuate Staffing Smithfield, NC 27577 Accentuate Staffing is working with a growing construction firm that specializes in underground utility infrastructure projects to help them identify an experienced Utility Foreman. This leadership role is essential to ensuring daily field operations are executed according to project plans, timelines, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven background leading utility crews, operating heavy equipment, and overseeing field activities with a focus on quality, safety, and productivity.

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of utility workers, coordinating tasks and providing direction to ensure efficient field operations Oversee the installation and maintenance of water, sewer, and storm drain systems in compliance with project plans and regulations Ensure daily enforcement of job site safety procedures and PPE requirements; lead toolbox talks and safety meetings Operate, inspect, and maintain construction equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and trenchers to support daily operations Review and verify work accuracy against technical drawings and ensure compliance with layout specifications Maintain project documentation, including work logs, material usage, and crew time reports; communicate updates to site leadership

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience as a Foreman or crew leader on underground utility projects Proficient in reading construction blueprints and interpreting technical documentation Skilled in operating and maintaining heavy machinery used in underground utility installations Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices in construction site safety Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate field crews to meet production goals Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
